The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking public input on the draft Statewide Active Transportation Plan. The plan incorporates previous feedback from the Statewide Bicycle Pedestrian Master Plan Open House Meeting and supports the Department’s work to improve biking and walking conditions throughout the state. It also highlights topics including: public health equity, and climate change.
The document identifies and prioritizes strategies that will promote more bicyclists and pedestrians, while supporting safety and multimodal connectivity. It will simultaneously serve as a resource for metropolitan and rural planning organizations, as well as statewide municipalities throughout the Commonwealth as they develop and implement regional and local active transportation plans.
